Eventward has been approved and is now listed in the WordPress.org plugin directory. You can install it straight from your WordPress dashboard, and new versions arrive through the normal Updates screen.
Install it in a minute
- In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin.
- Search for Eventward.
- Click Install Now, then Activate. Your calendar is live at /events/ straight away.
What you get, all of it free
- Six calendar views: month, week, list, photo, map and day, as a block or a shortcode.
- Recurring events with real repeat rules (“the second Tuesday”, “the last Friday”), skipped dates and extra dates.
- Venues and organizers, with maps from OpenStreetMap.
- Tickets and RSVP through your own Stripe account, with no platform fee.
- Shortcodes and builder friendly fields for Bricks, Divi and other page builders.
- Web addresses that match The Events Calendar, so switching does not break your links.
What changed in 0.5.3
This is the version that went through the WordPress.org review. Most of the changes make Eventward more careful about doing anything you have not asked for:
- Address lookup for venue maps is off until you turn it on under Events, Settings, Maps, so no venue address is sent anywhere unless you choose to.
- Support for the [tribe_events] shortcode, for sites moving from The Events Calendar, is now an option you switch on.
- Deleting the plugin always removes stored Stripe credentials and scheduled jobs, even if you keep your events.
- Eventward now needs WordPress 6.7 or later.
There is no Pro version and nothing is locked. If something does not work the way you expect, tell us in the support forum.
