Eventward 0.5.5: reports, category colours and 24-hour times

This release adds a reports screen and three calendar options. Several of them came straight from people trying Eventward, so thank you for writing in.

Reports

Events, Reports shows how your ticketed events are doing over any period: the last 30 or 90 days, the last 12 months, this year, last year, the next 12 months or dates you choose, for all events or just one.

  • Bookings, check-ins, no-shows and takings at a glance.
  • A month by month chart of bookings against check-ins.
  • Every date with how full it was, linked to its attendee list.
  • A breakdown by ticket type.
  • A CSV export with a total row, ready for an annual report.
  • Test payments are kept apart from live takings.

Category colours

Give an event category a colour under Events, Categories, then choose how it shows in the month and week views: as a coloured line before each event, or as the event’s background. On a coloured background the text switches between black and white, whichever is easier to read.

24-hour times

A new Time format setting under Events, Settings, Calendar lets you choose 24-hour (19:30) or 12-hour (7:30 pm) times for the calendar, event pages, shortcodes and booking emails, or keep the format your WordPress site already uses.

Full event names in the month view

Long event names no longer have to be cut short. Turn on the new option in the same settings and names wrap onto extra lines instead.
